Pastry chef Valerie Vonn has been piecing together a living working for private clients since the recent closure of her restaurant. She is about to commit to a wedding, her biggest event yet. Unfortunately, the passion fruit she uses to make her signature cake has become suddenly and mysteriously unavailable, and the farmer stopped returning her calls. She sets out on a road trip that soon turns into a full-fledged investigation.
